International scientific activity of the Institute.
The Institute promotes long-term scientific cooperation with the Universities in the following cities: Birmingham, Denver, Chapel Hill and Minneapolis (USA), Helsinki, Tampere Kuopio (Finland), Free University of Berlin (Germany), Rome, Milan, Florence (Italy), Toronto (Canada) and others.
The scientists of the Institute actively participate in national and international congresses, conferences and symposia on pharmacology. The Institute holds regular scientific conferences with international participation:
- 1993 - Institute-organized International Conference attended by 200 scientists from Russia, UIS countries, USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Finland, Panama and China;
- October 1994 - 10th Russian-Italian Symposium on Neuropsychopharmacology on Baikal Lake shore;
- May 2001 - the Institute has held the 3rd International Conference "Biological Basis of Individual Sensitivity to Psychotropic Drugs" in an ancient Russian city Suzdal;
- In April 2003 the Zakusov State Institute of Pharmacology RAMS held the 2nd Congress of the Russian Scientific Society of Pharmacology Which was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Institute foundation and the 100 centerary of academician V. Zakusov birth.
- In April 14th-16th 2005 The Institute will hold the 8th Regional ECNP (European Collegium on Neuropsychopharmacology) Meeting in Moscow.
